PROJECT

MaTaCoS will develop tools adaptable to stone materials of different nature, both natural and artificial.

The cleaning phase, which represents the most critical phase in a restoration process, can be carried out more easily thanks to the versatility of the instrument: this will allow to optimize not only the results in terms of cleaning efficiency of the different types of materials but also in economic term.

After the cleaning phase, it’s necessary to consolidate the artifacts on which action was taken, so a site monitoring system will be developed based on the acquisition of images and parameters such as temperature and light, accessible and easy to install, in order to validate the products tested within the project and also as a adoptable solution in the routine management of submerged sites.
