The research activity will focus on the development of new formulas, based on the use of nano-materials, for the conservation of natural and artificial stone materials located in the marine environment.

On the basis of the acquired knowledge, with reference to the subaerial environment, new products that offer a protective efficacy in a marine environment will be identified. In this context, new types of mortars, consolidants and protective products will be studied, especially in relation to the degrading effects linked to the actions of the present biological component. In this context, the effectiveness of various types of geotextile roofing to be applied on some structures, with specific and different methods, will be verified. In parallel, new non-invasive cleaning techniques will be identified.
